The Byward Market

If you come to Ottawa, the one place you have to visit, besides the Parliament Buildings and the Rideau Canal, (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is the Byward Market. This is an old-fashioned market place, with modern flare. You can eat at a multitude of unique cafes, trendy eateries, or just good ole pub grub. I used to work at a documentation company in the Market, and it was very handy to buy flowers, pickup gluten-free sausages (for my daughter, who has Celiac Disease), or if I needed a retail fix, I could always hit the Rideau Centre. Also checkout the Downtown Rideau street shops, if you're looking for a tattoo parlour or a record shop-yes, actual records, or "LPs", for those of you born before 1989. The Record Runner is no more, but End Hits sounds pretty good. Anyways, get down to the market, check things out and eat a Beaver Tail!

If you need promotonal stuff, I highly recommend Nicholas Promotions, T-shirts, mugs, you name it. He's in The Market too.
